What's Going On...

It's less than a month away!  This year's Scotties Tournament of Hearts gets underway in Victoria on February 21st, 2009.  We're very excited to be going back as Team Canada and hope we can defend our title!

Also, we're proud to say that we won Manitoba's Team of the Year!  It was voted on my the Manitoba Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.  Thanks to everyone for the votes!

Sports journalists choose province's top athletes

Two athletes who starred in China and a team that rocked the world were the big winners last night at the 53rd annual Manitoba Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association awards dinner.

Archer Jay Lyon, wheelchair racer Michelle Stilwell and the Jennifer Jones curling team were named male athlete, female athlete and team of the year, respectively, at the Delta Winnipeg Hotel.

About Us

Team Jennifer Jones is the 2008 Women's World Curling Champions.

They won the 2008 Manitoba and Canadian Scotties Tournament of Hearts titles and went on to win the Worlds.  They are also the 2005 Canadian Scott Tournament of Hearts Champions.

They have experienced great success in their last three seasons having finished in the top two on the Women's World Curling Tour standings and first on the Canadian Team Ranking System standings each year.  The squad also won the 2006 and 2007 Tylenol Women's Player's Championship.

Other past accomplishments include having finished in the top three of the Canadian Scotties Tournament of Hearts for the last four years.
